1. BVL players suspended by the MLB from February 24, 1948 (2020) for domestic violence, sexual assault or abuse of animals (or any combination thereof) will be immediately suspended in the BVL.
Note: Felipe Vazquez of the Banksville Bulldogs is currently on administrative leave by MLB.
The BVL will take a close look at the Mr. Vazquez case if (a) he is suspended by MLB, and (b) #letsplayMeToo is passed by the BVL owners.
2. Length of MLB suspension is reduced by 50% (rounded up).
3. A club may appeal an MLB suspension that occurs from the Owners Meeting through the final out of the BVL World Series.
In such cases, suspensions may start on Game 1 of the following season.
4. A club may NOT appeal if MLB suspensions occur between the final out of a BVL World Series and the day before the Owners Meeting.
These suspensions will take effect at the start of the current season.
Note: an MLB player suspended twice for domestic violence, sexual assault or abuse of animals (or any combination thereof) will be immediately banned from the BVL for life.
Note: BVL clubs remain responsible for penalties meted out to all suspended players, drafted or traded.
Note: Suspensions do not carry over.
Note: disputes over MLB suspensions which are similar to #letsplayMeToo will be resolved by the BVL Commissioner or BVL Presidents.
COMMENTARY :
How can you root for someone found guilty of domestic abuse, sexual assault or abuse of animals (or any combination thereof)?
How can you bring in a reliever who is charged with, not 1, not 11, but 21 felony counts -- and wish for a save?
These players are not Gentlemen of the BVL.
How could they be?
PS
Thank you, Mr. Josef Jusef Jesselli, for the #slug.
