Proposal 1 Jim Lonborg Injury Chart
1. From the day after the BVL World Series is completed and through the night before the Owners Meeting,
a player can be injured during the off season.
2. Each player, listed alphabetically/age, is assigned a four digit number (from 0000-0499) following the draft.
3. Use the evening Pick 4 drawing from the NY Lottery to determine if a player is injured.
4. If a Pick 4 result lands on a player’s number, roll d20 on the Jim Lonborg Chart, below.
5. To determine the injury, see the appropriate Injury Description chart.
Note: A player can be hurt multiple times during the off season.
Exception: death.

starters with 28+ starts, and relievers with 60+ IP.
Exception: d20 rolls of 19 or 20 on the Ray Chapman Chart.
Commentary - Mr. Luplow began work on this project 15-20 years ago.
His goal was simple: make the BVL different from other leagues and to add drama
and excitement during the off-season. Old timers still remember the day Kirk
Gibson died in The War (we had sent players to different armed branches during Dessert Storm).
Not that we should glorify death in fiction, that was hysterically unforgettable.
